Voices in harmony

Helensburgh Dorian Choir is a renowned choir based in Helensburgh that was established in 1949. On this, our 70th anniversary, our choir is busier and better than ever.

We pride ourselves on our friendliness, years of experience and exemplary musical team. To that end we learn the notes as a group and are provided with teach tracks to practise at home, ensuring a top-notch performance come concert-day.

The choir hosts two concerts a year, in May and December, with rehearsals running from August to May. Rehearsals are held at the United Reformed Church, West king Street, Helensburgh, on Tuesday evenings from 7.15. There is always time for a chat during rehearsal and we even hold additional social events including concerts and dinners.

Come and Sing: ABBA to Zadok

17th Aug 2019 10-4

Sian Winstanley MD

Jane Hepworth Piano

The Dorian Choir was joined by members of the local community for a music-packed day, singing ABBA, Eva Cassidy, Orff's O Fortuna and Handel's Zadok the Priest.

We had a great day meeting new Dorian choir members and mingling with supportive members of other local choirs, before performing to a small audience at the end of the day.
